Ultrasound Masterclass

Ultrasound imaging has brought the aesthetics medical practice to the next revolutionary step. The ability to visualize the underlying anatomy, unique in every individual, eliminates the need for blind injections.

Ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive imaging method that does not involve ionizing radiation. With aesthetic treatments, particularly anti-ageing treatments, becoming increasingly popular, injectors are often “blind” to the depth and exact location of needle tips once they penetrate the skin. Using the ultrasound before, during, and after treatment can allow real-time visualization of the individual anatomy, improving accuracy and reducing the risk of complications by avoiding vital structures.

Ultrasound scanning also provides valuable information to injectors when needing to dissolve previously injected filler treatments. As a result, ultrasound use has become an essential tool in promoting safer aesthetic treatments and shifts static anatomy to mobile, real-time facial anatomy.

Ultrasound use has become an invaluable learning tool through follow-up imaging, optimizing techniques, and improving patient outcomes. It speeds up the learning curve for new and advanced treatments, making it an essential tool for those in the aesthetics field.
