Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend our UK training courses?

Our Botox and dermal fillers training courses in the UK are open to the following medical professionals;

Dental Hygienists
Dental Therapists

Where can I get cosmetic indemnity insurance after the course?

Cosmetic Indemnity Insurance is not currently a legal requirement; however we would strongly recommend you get cover. Our Botox training courses are accredited by the UK’s two leading aesthetic insurers, Cosmetic Insure and Hamilton Fraser. You will receive certificates upon graduation allowing you to gain insurance. There are also exclusive discounts available for Derma Medical delegates.

Where can I buy botulinum toxins?

Delegates will gain competencies with Botulinum Toxin and understand the different manufacturers available including BOTOX®, Bocouture®, Azzalure® and Dysport®.

Once certified you will be able to order Botulinum Toxins through a prescription via online Pharmacies such as HealthXchange or Church Pharmacy. Non-prescribers can buddy up with a local prescriber or use a prescriber service for patient consultations and ordering products.

Can I still attend a course despite not being a prescriber?

Yes, we provide prescribers on the day to ensure you can carry out your practical training.

Following the course, however, you will need to buddy up with a local prescriber or use a prescriber service when ordering botulinum toxin to administer. Dermal fillers do not currently require a prescription.

In line with GMC guidelines, prescribers need to consult patients face-to-face before prescribing botulinum toxin or similar prescription products.

For more information on prescribing Botox, please read our blog – Non-Prescribers – What you need to know about Botulinum Toxin

Do I have to arrange a model to attend with me?

We provide all cosmetic models for our training courses. We split into small groups for our Botox & dermal fillers training courses and you will see 8-9 models each day within your group. Our courses are designed to ensure you get lots of hands-on practice on real-life patients.

If you have any friends or family interested in being a cosmetic model for our training days they can get heavily discounted treatments for the purposes of teaching. Please visit https://dermamodels.co.uk for more information and to book any model treatments.
