Frequently Asked Questions
Who can attend the courses?
Where do the training courses take place?
We run our 4 day master aesthetic pratitioner package frequently in London.
Do you train international delegates?
Before booking your Derma Medical course, it would be worth checking what would be required in your country to practice injectables. Every country will have differing own rules and regulations regarding aesthetic medicine.
Will I be insured to inject during the training course?
Our cosmetic indemnity insurance covers you to inject on the day of your training course. Upon completion of your course, we strongly recommend you take out your own cosmetic indemnity insurance. Our cosmetic training courses are accredited by the UK’s two leading aesthetic insurers, Cosmetic Insure and Hamilton Fraser. You will receive certificates upon graduation allowing you to gain insurance. There are also exclusive discounts available for Derma Medical delegates.
Do I have to arrange a model to attend with me?
We provide all cosmetic models for our training courses. We have 8-9 live cosmetic models per group for each dermal filler course, and 6 models on each PDO thread lift training day to make sure you get lots of hands-on practice on real-life patients.
If you have any friends or family interested in being a cosmetic model for our training days they can get heavily discounted treatments for the purposes of teaching. Please visit our models website for more information and to book any treatments.
I'm a non-prescriber, can I still complete the course?
Yes, as long as you are a registered medical professional on the list of who we train. We provide prescribers on the day to ensure you can carry out your practical training.
Following the course, however, you will need to buddy up with a local prescriber or use a prescriber service when ordering botulinum toxin to administer. Dermal fillers and PDO threads do not currently require a prescription. In line with GMC guidelines, prescribers need to consult patients face-to-face before prescribing botulinum toxin or similar prescription products.
For more information on prescribing Botox, please read our blog – Non-Prescribers – What You Need to Know about Botulinum Toxin
Do I need to attend the courses on consecutive days?
No, when you book out the master aesthetic practitioner package you will be able to choose from all available dates for all training days. You can choose to complete all courses back to back or space them out over the coming months. The advanced masterclass in facial contouring must come before the artistic facial transformation course, but you can complete the rest of the courses in this package in any order.
