What is the Level 7 Certificate in Injectables for Aesthetic Medicine?

The Level 7 Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine is an OFQUAL approved post-graduate certificate aimed at medical professionals who want to work towards a specialist academic and competency based award in aesthetic medicine. The qualification specifically focuses on teaching practical skills in carrying out botulinum toxin and dermal filler treatments. This qualification has come about after recent recommendations made in the HEE Guidelines for non surgical treatments. You can find answers to more questions on the Level 7 course here – Level 7 – Your Questions Answered.

Can I train in Botox despite not being a prescriber?

Yes, we provide prescribers on the day to ensure you can carry out your practical training. Following the course, however, you will need to buddy up with a local prescriber or use a prescriber service when ordering Botulinum Toxin to administer. Dermal Fillers do not currently require a prescription.

In line with GMC guidelines, Prescribers need to consult patients face-to-face before prescribing Botulinum Toxin or similar prescription products.

For more information on prescribing Botox, please read our blog – Non-Prescribers – What you need to know about Botulinum Toxin
