About Training

Aesthetic training teaches medical professionals how to safely and effectively perform non-surgical cosmetic treatments like anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, facial contouring, and skin rejuvenation. It covers everything from facial anatomy and injection techniques to patient consultation and aftercare.

To get trained, you’ll need to enrol in a certified aesthetic training course that matches your experience level. At Derma Medical, we offer internationally accredited training designed for healthcare professionals. You’ll receive expert-led education, hands-on practice with real models, and a recognised certificate upon completion, giving you everything you need to start treating patients safely and confidently.

Yes, absolutely. Our foundation Botox and Dermal Filler course is perfect for beginners with no prior aesthetic experience. You’ll learn core techniques, essential safety knowledge, and get plenty of guided hands-on practice. Many of our students start with zero experience and leave feeling confident to treat real patients.

Yes, and it’s one of the things we’re known for. Every in-person course includes practical, hands-on training using real cosmetic models (not mannequins). You’ll treat a wide range of cases under close supervision so you can build real-world confidence from day one.

Yes. Once you complete your course, you’ll receive a certificate of completion that can be used to get insured and begin practicing. Many of our delegates go on to work in aesthetic clinics or start their own practice shortly after training. We also offer post-course support and business advice to help you get started.

The cost of aesthetic training depends on the course you choose and the level of training you’re looking for. For a detailed breakdown of prices for each course, including bundles and payment plans, please visit our Training Course Price List page.

Eligibility and Requirements

To administer Botox safely, you must be a qualified healthcare professional. This ensures you understand anatomy, patient safety, and clinical protocols. At Derma Medical, our courses are designed for medical professionals, and completion gives you the skills and confidence to practice Botox responsibly.

We train a wide range of healthcare professionals, including:

If you’re a qualified professional in one of these fields, you’re eligible to join our courses and start your journey in aesthetics.

Yes. Nurses are among the key professionals eligible to administer Botox after completing accredited training. Derma Medical’s courses provide nurses with hands-on experience, practical knowledge, and internationally recognised certification to start practising safely.

The highest academic qualification in aesthetics is a Level 7 diploma or master’s-level certification in aesthetic medicine. These advanced courses cover comprehensive topics such as advanced facial anatomy, complex injection techniques, complication management, and full facial transformations.

Course structure

Our Foundation Botox and Dermal Filler Training is designed for beginners and covers the core principles of Botox and dermal fillers, including facial anatomy, patient consultation, injection techniques, and treating common areas like the forehead and lips.

The Advanced Botox and Dermal Filler Training builds on this knowledge, teaching more complex procedures such as jawline contouring, tear troughs, non-surgical rhinoplasty, and managing complications. If you’re new to aesthetics, we recommend starting with the Foundation course before progressing to Advanced.

You can get trained in Botox in as little as one day through our Foundation course. However, becoming confident and well-rounded often takes multiple days of training and practice. Many delegates choose our 4-day Confident Injector or 6-day Complete Clinician courses for a more in-depth learning experience.

Yes, understanding facial anatomy is a crucial part of our training. You’ll learn how to assess different facial structures, muscle movements, and ageing patterns to create natural, balanced results. We focus heavily on landmark-based techniques, which are designed to improve both precision and safety.

Location

You can train with Derma Medical in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Newcastle. All locations offer hands-on, CPD-accredited training with live models, led by expert aesthetic trainers. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to advance your skills, you’ll get the same high-quality experience across all our UK centres.

Yes, we offer online aesthetic training! Our online platform, DermaHub, gives you flexible access to aesthetic training wherever you are. You’ll find a full library of HD video content, downloadable resources, facial anatomy guides, treatment demonstrations, and real case walkthroughs, all taught by Derma Medical’s expert trainers.

It’s perfect for professionals who want to refresh their skills, learn at their own pace, or complement hands-on training with additional knowledge.

Online aesthetic training is ideal for learning theory, techniques, and treatment protocols at your own pace. It’s great for building knowledge and confidence before or after hands-on training. However, online training does not replace practical experience.

In-person training at Derma Medical gives you hands-on experience with live cosmetic models, direct feedback from our trainers, and the confidence to perform treatments safely in real clinical settings. For beginners especially, we always recommend starting with face-to-face training.

Yes. Our Online aesthetic courses are CPD-accredited, meaning they contribute towards your professional development and are recognised across the aesthetics industry. While they can’t replace hands-on experience, they’re a great way to stay updated and build confidence.

After the Training

Yes, many of our delegates go on to open their own aesthetic clinics after completing their training. Once you’re insured and confident in your skills, you’re fully able to start offering treatments professionally, whether that’s from a clinic, home-based setup, or mobile service.

Yes, we do. Our trainers share real-world tips on setting up your aesthetics business, attracting clients, pricing treatments, and staying compliant. We also offer dedicated business-focused sessions as part of our multi-day training packages.

Absolutely. We know the support doesn’t stop when the course ends. You’ll have access to our team for post-course questions, guidance, and clinical support. Plus, with our online platform DermaHub, you can revisit training materials anytime and stay connected with the wider Derma Medical community.

About Botox, Fillers & Derma Medical

Botox (Botulinum toxin) is a prescription-only medicine used to temporarily relax muscles. In aesthetics, it’s injected into specific facial muscles to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, particularly in areas like the forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet. The effects typically last 3 to 4 months.

Botox (botulinum toxin) works by relaxing muscles to smooth out dynamic wrinkles caused by movement, like frown lines and forehead creases.

Dermal fillers, on the other hand, add volume and shape by filling in static wrinkles, enhancing lips, contouring cheeks, jawlines, and more. Both are injectable treatments but work in very different ways.

Yes, all of our trainers are highly experienced, GMC/NMC/GDC-registered medical professionals. Many run their own successful aesthetic clinics and bring real-world expertise into every training session. You’re learning from the best in the industry.
