Dr Chirag Patel qualified from Liverpool Medical School in 2006 and has been performing aesthetic procedures since 2008. He holds a diploma in clinical dermatology and currently works as GP with a special interest in dermatology and skin surgery for the NHS. He enjoys teaching, holds a PGCert in medical education and is a GP trainer.
He is the director of DR SKIN, a cosmetic clinic in Leicester where he particularly enjoys helping clients with scarring and pigmentation disorders to achieve normal skin.
He recognises that the NHS is limited in what it can offer to patients with many disfiguring skin conditions and uses various non-conventional treatments in his clinic to help these clients regain their confidence.
He is constantly striving to develop techniques to produce a more natural look with aesthetic treatments and he will often combine various modalities such as botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, plasma skin tightening, micro-needling, PRP, chemical peels and skin surgery to achieve that. He is also one of very few doctors in the UK who uses platelet rich plasma for genital and sexual rejuvenation.
