Botox & Dermal Fillers Training Courses for Doctors

Doctors, would you like to put years of medical training and hard work into an industry where you could more than double your current income? …If the answer is yes, then read on to discover more about Botox & Dermal Fillers Training Courses for Doctors and how we can help you train and work in an industry worth over £2 billion annually.

It’s no great secret that doctors are some of the hardest working professionals in the UK. Working tirelessly, often through long and unsociable hours. Training programmes after medical school are increasingly competitive and extend over many years until you reach the end. But too often, doctors don’t get the opportunity to work in the departments or disciplines they trained so hard for.

Although many doctors love their roles, many also want better job security, flexibility and better standards of pay and recognition for their efforts. Botox and dermal fillers training courses offer doctors a great career opportunity. Its possible to work part time alongside your existing role or change career path and specialize in facial aesthetics full time. You will learn all about different ways to supplement your income in aesthetics on our courses.

We specialise in Botox & Dermal Fillers Training Courses for Doctors. Giving you everything you need to get started on either our Foundation, Advanced or Combined course. You can then further develop your aesthetic skills with our Lip Masterclass, Advanced Masterclass or Level 7 Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine. Accredited by BCAM, our courses have been designed to meet the latest guidelines and GMC guidance to ensure practitioners are ahead of regulation.

After our course you can get cosmetic indemnity insurance through our course sponsors, Hamilton Fraser or Cosmetic Insure and start practicing immediately.

WHY SHOULD DOCTORS TRAIN IN AESTHETICS?

Higher Income
Hour-for-hour as an aesthetic doctor (either self-employed or working for a clinic), you can expect to earn far more than you would as a locum doctor. It is easily possible to double your current salary and pay back the large debts from years of medical school.
Better Quality of Life
Many doctors that we’ve trained have reported a much better quality of life – working more sociable hours with happier patients. Compared to their NHS jobs, they also report increased job satisfaction from having more autonomy in a less-pressured environment.
Develop New Clinical Skills
Doctors are well suited to this field because they have good transferable skills. Although mainly cosmetic, some Botox® injections can be used for medical use such as treatments and aesthetics can provide an opportunity to learn worthwhile new injecting skills.
Keeping Options Open
For junior doctors, facial aesthetics can be a great opportunity to pay off debts from medical school and fund a better quality lifestyle. For senior doctors stuck in non-progressive trust grade jobs, aesthetics offers a great work alternative and more job freedom.
Patient Time
Unlike a general practice or busy hospital shift, doctors are able to spend more time with clients. During the initial consultation, procedural appointment and follow up, doctors will have the opportunity to build more of a rapport with their patients.
Patient Satisfaction
Because most cosmetic procedures are undertaken by choice, you will find a higher level of patient satisfaction and wellbeing when you deliver a great aesthetic result. This, in turn, can lead to a greater level of job satisfaction for the practitioner.

Do you train international delegates?

Our UK based Botox and dermal filler training courses are open to registered doctors from around the world. we regularly train international delegates.

Will I be insured to inject during the training course?

Our cosmetic indemnity insurance covers you to inject on the day of your training course. Upon completion of your course, we strongly recommend you take out your own cosmetic indemnity insurance. Our cosmetic training courses are accredited by the UK’s two leading aesthetic insurers, Cosmetic Insure and Hamilton Fraser. You will receive certificates upon graduation allowing you to gain insurance. There are also exclusive discounts available for Derma Medical delegates.

I'm a non-prescriber, can I still complete the course?

Yes, as long as you are a registered medical professional on the list of who we train. We provide prescribers on the day to ensure you can carry out your practical training.

Following the course, however, you will need to buddy up with a local prescriber or use a prescriber service when ordering botulinum toxin to administer. Dermal fillers do not currently require a prescription. In line with GMC guidelines, prescribers need to consult patients face-to-face before prescribing botulinum toxin or similar prescription products.
